ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company’s Rs 10,603-crore IPO saw an exceptional surge in demand on the final day of bidding, with the issue subscribed 39.17 times on Tuesday, driven by massive participation from qualified institutional buyers (QIBs), non-institutional investors (NIIs) and retail investors. According to consolidated NSE data, ICICI Prudential AMC IPO received bids for over 137 crore shares against 3.5 crore shares on offer.
Qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) dominated the book on Day 3, with the category subscribed a staggering 123.87 times. The segment received bids for 115 crore shares against 93.05 lakh shares reserved. Foreign institutional investors bid for 43.9 crore shares, while domestic financial institutions and insurance companies accounted for 47.58 crore shares. Mutual funds placed bids for 10.65 crore shares, with other institutional investors contributing the balance.
ICICI Prudential AMC IPO’s NII segment also saw aggressive participation, with the category subscribed 22 times. Bids stood at 15.37 crore shares against 69.79 lakh shares on offer. Large NIIs subscribed 25.42 times, led largely by individual investors. Small NIIs subscribed 15.28 times, indicating strong demand across ticket sizes.
Retail investor interest surged on the final day, with the category subscribed 2.53 times. Retail investors bid for 4.12 crore shares against an allocation of 1.63 crore shares, driven largely by cut-off bids. The shareholder category also witnessed heavy demand, with the quota subscribed 9.75 times. Bids stood at 2.38 crore shares against 24.49 lakh shares reserved for eligible shareholders.
