Premium baby gear startup Loopie raises Rs 7.2 crore led by Sauce VC, Hyperscale Ventures, Patni Family Office

Premium baby gear brand Loopie has raised Rs 7.2 crore in a mix of equity and debt, led by Sauce VC, with participation from Hyperscale Ventures, Patni Family Office, Panthera Peak and other consumer investors, the company said on December 19.

Launched in March 2025, Loopie positions itself as India’s first design-led premium baby gear company targeting modern parents. Its product lineup includes the Loopie Hop stroller, Loopie Lap baby car seat, and the Loopie Robin diaper bag, aimed at filling the gap between mass-market products and expensive international imports.

“There is a clear gap for high-quality premium products in this space,” said Akriti Gupta, founder and CEO of Loopie. “The lifestyle of a new parent is very different from what it used to be a decade ago… We aim to provide the new parents the best in class of everything starting with outdoor gear.”

Loopie says it is the first Indian baby gear company to build fully original product designs: its stroller was developed with London design studio Moramma, its car seat is manufactured in Germany with a 60-year-old specialist partner, and its diaper bag is designed in-house. The company plans to deepen design and manufacturing capabilities with every new launch.

The raise comes at a time when the baby care category has been drawing heightened investor attention, with startups exploring vertical quick-commerce models, standalone baby care platforms and premium product brands to meet rising demand from nuclear and dual-income households.

Backing Loopie again, Sauce VC partner Yash Dholakia said the firm remains confident in the brand’s ability to build leadership in the premium space. “We are extremely pleased to double down on our conviction,” he said.

Gupta, an IIM Ahmedabad alum with nearly a decade of experience in baby products, said the company is building products around safety, quality and modern lifestyle needs as India’s childcare market continues to expand.

The domestic childcare products segment is expected to grow at a double-digit CAGR, buoyed by rising spending on kids’ essentials, higher product awareness and a growing preference for branded solutions. Loopie said it has seen strong customer reviews and early traction across platforms.
