Maha Govt nod for Rs 402 cr relief for kharif crop damage

Maharashtra government on Thursday announced a Rs 402 crore relief for the farmers, whose kharif crop had suffered damages last year.

"Some of the affected farmers could not get the financial relief due to technical reasons, including non-availability of bank accounts," an official said.

Authorities have been asked to disburse the relief within a stipulated period through special drives, the official added.
