The government has been giving fresh impetus to the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act or MGNREGA, that assures 100 days of work in a year in rural areas. However, with a staggering Rs 48,000 crore in its funding kitty, the question is, who is really benefitting because job cards that show employment opportunity are now up for sale in many areas.
