Software firm HCL Technologies' second-quarter profit is expected to fall 2.5 percent sequentially to Rs 2,143 crore.
Revenue is seen rising 3.5 percent quarter-on-quarter to Rs 12,572 crore and dollar revenue may grow 3.6 percent to USD 1,951 million for the quarter ended September 2017, according to an average of estimates of analysts polled by CNBC-TV18.
Constant currency growth is expected to be at 2.2 percent.
EBIT margin for the quarter is seen contracting at 19.8 percent from 20.1 percent in previous quarter, impacted by wage hike.
Continued investments in business, slower organic growth and integration of lower-margin businesses may also impact margin.
Analysts expect 100-130 basis points currency tailwind.
Growth is expected to be back-ended in IMS and ER&D, with negligible contribution from ETL factory and Alpha Insights, analysts said.
Key things to watch out for would be organic growth, performance in IMS segment, outlook & automation impact on mode-1 services, and guidance.
Analysts expect the company to maintain constant currency revenue growth at 10.5-12.5 percent and EBIT margin at 19.5-20.5 percent for the year.
The stock rallied 12 percent in 2017 but fell 2.5 percent on Tuesday ahead of earnings tomorrow.
