Geometric's third quarter consolidated net profit increased marginally to Rs 16.4 crore from Rs 16.3 crore in previous quarter, impacted by weak operational performance.
Consolidated revenue grew 3.3 percent sequentially to Rs 289 crore and dollar revenue rose 1 percent to USD 46.6 million during the quarter.
However, operating profit of the software services provider fell 15.5 percent quarter-on-quarter to Rs 35 crore and margin declined 270 basis points to 12.2 percent in the quarter gone by.
"Despite being a traditionally weak quarter, we saw growth across our verticals," said Manu Parpia, Managing Director & CEO of the company.
The company signed new deals worth USD 13.09 million.
Other income during the quarter jumped significantly to Rs 7 crore from Rs 1.6 crore on sequential basis.
At 14:07 hours IST, the scrip of Geometric was quoting at Rs 126.35, down Rs 9.50, or 6.99 percent on the BSE.
