Thermax bags Rs 353 crore order from RCF

The company will commission a 50 mw gas-based co-generation plant at RCF's facility in Thal, Maharashtra for captive power, it said in a filing to BSE.

    Engineering solutions provider Thermax Ltd said it has bagged an order worth Rs 353 crore from Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Ltd (RCF) to execute an energy efficient improvement project.

    The company will commission a 50 mw gas-based co-generation plant at RCF's facility in Thal, Maharashtra for captive power, it said in a filing to BSE.

    It will also install waste heat recovery boilers downstream of the turbines to provide required stream for process, the company said.

    Company's MD and CEO M S Unnikrishnan said, "We are glad to partner with RCF in its programme to improve energy efficiency. This order once again underlines Thermax's expertise in gas-based power plants for industry." "The scope of supply includes two 25 mw each gas turbines and...waste heat recovery boilers, besides civil works, balance of electrical, mechanical and instrumentation works," it said.

    Thermax Ltd offers integrated innovative solutions in the areas of heating, cooling, power, water and waste management, air pollution control and chemicals.
