Speciality Restaurants has seen a 23 percent jump this week. However, the company’s CFO Rajesh Kumar Mohta said that there is nothing special that is driving the stock up.
The management is currently focusing on making the company profitable. The company is hopeful of not going into the negative territory in FY18, Mohta said.
In last two years, the company has seen a double whammy in the form of product inflation and wage inflation. Also, it has not raised its menu prices in last two years.
For now, the company is not opening new restaurants aggressively as the plan is to bring all restaurants opened in the last two years to a comfortable situation.
Further, Mohta said that focus is on oriental cuisine-based eatery and likes of its popular Hoppipola.
