Moneycontrol BureauIn an interview to Business Standard, National Stock Exchange (NSE) Chairman Ashok Chawla said there may be marginal delay in the initial public offering (IPO) of NSE after the exit of CEO and Managing Director Chitra Ramkrishna. The IPO was likely to be filed sometime in January.Sources told BS that Ramkrishna was in disagreement with few board members over the timing of the listing of the IPO. She wanted a slower timeline for the listing process.Chawla believes for the public offering and the listing process, it is important to have a Chief. Hence, they are expediting the selection process and even taking suggestions from the shareholders. While a release by NSE stated personal reasons for Ramkrishna's exit Chawla says she wanted to devote time to personal and family matters. The NSE was earlier planning for foreign lisitng but now it is off the table. The new NSE Chairman says this decision has nothing to do with the resignation. Their priority is domestic listing and foreign listing will be thought only if necessary.
