MDF plant in likely Punjab to commission in next 30-45 days: Century Plyboards

Century Plyboards has commenced commercial production at Purbanchal Timber Industries.

Throwing more light on the development, Chairman Sajjan Bhajanka told CNBC-TV18 that the unit just like the Guwahati unit will also make plywood, blockboards, etc

This is the seventh unit, besides their six units that produce timber, he said. Two of those units are in North East. The new unit will also derive the benefits of the North East Industrial Promotion board, said Bhajanka.

Talking of the medium density fibreboards (MDF) plant in Punjab, he said it is also likely to commission within next 30-45 days. The total capacity is around 200,000 cubic meter and revenue would be around Rs 400 crore with capacity to go up further with value addition, said Bhajanka.
