KPTL bags orders worth over Rs 1,900 cr

    Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (KPTL) said it has bagged new orders of over Rs 1,900 crore in the overseas markets.

    "Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd has secured new orders/ notification exceeding Rs 1,900 crore," the company said in a BSE filing.

    Elaborating, the company said it has bagged Rs 1,340 crore turnkey project for construction of 225 kv transmission line and substation in Republic of Senegal.

    The second order is for constriction of 500 kv transmission line in Afghanistan worth Rs 575 crore, funded by ADB.

    "We continue to expand our reach in new countries with orders of reasonable size. Our international order book is in excess of USD 80 million with 70 percent of this being from African countries," KPTL Managing Director Manish Mohnot said.

    Shares of KPTL ended 5.06 percent higher at Rs 269.10 on BSE.
