Happiest Minds Technologies Limited, on October 17, announced the formation of its Product and Digital Engineering Services (PDES) Business Unit, the company stated in a regulatory filing.

The company has formed a new entity, Product Engineering Services (PDES), by combining its Product Engineering Services Business Units (PES) with its Digital Business Services Business Units (DBS).

\PDES will focus on investing in advanced digital technologies and engineering expertise, while simultaneously augmenting the offerings and capabilities of its GBS Business Unit (Generative AI Business Services) to expedite customer digital transformation efforts and provide greater value.

Ashok Soota, Executive Chairman of Happiest Minds, said, “As part of our ambition to achieve $1 billion by 2031, we are making several strategic moves that include the merger of the PES and DBS Business Units into one Product and Digital Engineering Services (PDES) BU that would lay the foundation for a vertical structure and allow us to build deeper domain capabilities. Joseph Anantharaju, who has been responsible for the consistent success of the Product Engineering Services BU from its inception, will take responsibility for this merged Business Unit and lead it to continued success. The IMSS BU would continue to remain an independent BU and be an area of investment and focus. ”

With the establishment of the newly merged PDES BU, Happiest Minds expects to leverage learnings across customers and take a unified market approach to large customers to ensure the increased success of its land and expand strategy.

The company announced corporate results for the September-ended quarter on October 17. The company's consolidated profit came in at Rs 58.46 crore, up 0.2% QoQ while revenue stands at Rs 428.83 crore.

This is a developing story. Keep checking for more updates.
