SML Isuzu's September sales were weak. In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Gopal Bansal, Wholetime Director of SML Isuzu spoke about the latest happenings in his company and sector.
Apart from industry issues like rebuying in Q4 and BS-III and BS-IV conversion we had some peculiar issues, he said.
We had shortage of BS-IV component and then we had shortage of some other special critical components for which we could not produce the vehicles as demanded by the customers. These problems are getting resolved now and we should come to normal course of our sales from October onwards, he added.
October-December period is a lean month for us. We don’t have any production constraint and if there is demand in the industry and our customers are waiting then we will be able to supply. BS-IV issue is behind us now, said Bansal. For full interview, watch accompanying video...
