Expect home insurance to be the next big product in general insurance: Bajaj Finserv

Bajaj Finserv is set to follow in the footsteps of Bajaj Finance and be included in the Nifty. In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Sanjiv Bajaj, MD of Bajaj Finserv spoke about the latest happenings in the company and the sector.

Bajaj said that we are building in expectation of hike in interest rates as we plan business for next year.

He further said that I see interest rates heading northward. However, how much of it we can pass on will depend business-by-business.

Talking about insurance business, he said life insurance business bottomline is taking a hit due to faster growth in topline. However, tremendous opportunity seen in the general insurance business.

We expect home insurance to be the next big product in general insurance, he added.
