Canada's Brookfield Asset Mgmt eyes Continuum's wind energy biz

The renewable energy hungry Brookfield Asset Management is on the prowl again. The Canadian company is reportedly in discussions to buy operational wind energy assets of Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners-controlled Continuum Wind energy, reports Mint.

Moneycontrol BureauThe renewable energy hungry Brookfield Asset Management is on the prowl again. The Canadian company is reportedly in discussions to buy operational wind energy assets of Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners-controlled Continuum Wind energy, reports Mint.Continuum, which has appointed Moelis and Co as adviser for the transaction, runs 400 megawatts of operational wind energy assets in Maharashtra, Madya Pradesh and Gujarat, said a person to the newspaper.The newspaper learns from another source that the size of the deal could be in the range of Rs 1700-2000 crore in terms of enterprise value.The Canadian company has assets worth USD 250 billion spread across various nations and is present in real estate, infrastructure, renewable energy and private equity.
