FA9LA, a Bahraini rap track by Gulf hip-hop artist Flipperachi, which plays on the entry of Akshaye Khanna who plays the role of Rehman Dakait is not only trending on music charts but also on Reels.

Dhurandhar has scripted a rare moment in India’s music business.

All 11 songs from the film are currently dominating Spotify charts, a feat Saregama’s managing director Vikram Mehra said has never been seen before, underscoring the album’s exceptional streaming pull.

"It (Dhurandhar album) is generating 60-65 lakh streams on Spotify daily," Mehra said during an investor call on December 16.

He added that the only marquee album the company picked up in FY26 was Dhurandhar, which is hitting high notes on audio streaming platforms.

"Dhurandhar today a single film has 11 songs in its album and each of the songs is sitting on Spotify charts. Never before has this happened. That's the power of a marquee album."

A similar story was scripted by the songs of Stree 2, Mehra said.

The music and entertainment firm had picked up music rights of films like Stree 2, Sky Force and Bad Newz last financial year.

Ishq Jalakar - Karvaan has brought back the magic of over seven decades old song Na Toh Karvan Ki Talash Hai from the 1960 film Barsaat Ki Raat.

In the September quarter of FY26, the overall music segment including licensing plus artiste management, grew around 12 percent on a year-on-year basis. "We believe that we should be able to end the financial year at 19 percent to 20 percent," Mehra had said during Q2 FY26 earnings call.

Moneycontrol had reported that the music segment remained Saregama’s growth anchor, contributing over 70 percent of total revenue.

During the quarter, the company had released 1,500-odd songs.

The releases included songs from a Tamil album called Idli Kadai starring South superstar Dhanush; a Bengali album called Dhumketu; and a Malayalam film album called Sahasam, which was a very big hit during the quarter.

On the non-film side, Badshah's song Kokaina, Honey Singh's song Mashooqa; and a Marathi song Chal Turu Turu; fared very well for the firm.

Overall, their spend for new music content this year is estimated in the range of Rs 320 crore to Rs 330 crore. "This has come down from what we were projecting earlier because many of the planned film albums, which were planned for the year, have got pushed to a later year. Some of them, like our biggest album that was planned for the year was Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War, which was supposed to release in quarter 4 of this financial year, have now got pushed to quarter 2 of the next financial year," Mehra had said.
