GETIT Inforservices launches new service

Directional adversiting leader GETIT Inforservices on Wednesday launched its new service ''getitFREEAEDS''.


The getitFREEADS, claimed to be India's first classifieds service availabel to consumers via a combination of phone and online, ensured effective and quick buying and selling of used products by enabling best response from users--even those who are not online users, Sidarth Gupta, Chief Executive Officer, of GETIT, told reporters.


Consumers could dial 4444 444 for the both callGETIT and getitFREEADS, which empower the consumers with simple, convenient, personalised credible solutions for local information and product transactions free of cost, Gupta said.


At present the company has a 35 lakh database capacity and so far 20 lakh individuals, companies and persons registered for this service, he said.


He said that the company has targeted at least 45% growth in both call and freeads segment during this fiscal.


The company would launch soon its service on various platform and applications like SMS, Google-based applications and also iphone.


Later talking to PTI, Gupta said that the company did not have any plans to phase out its Yellow Pages, despite the increased influence of visual medium on public life. GETIT is printing more than 40 lakh copies of directories across India for free distribution and people were happy with the print media, despite shortage of time, Gupta added.
