    Suzlon in USD 1.28 bn deal with Caparo

    Suzlon Energy, a wind turbine maker, said on Friday it has signed a partnership agreement for 1,000 megawatts of wind power projects with Caparo Energy India, in a deal valued at around USD 1.28 billion.

      Suzlon Energy, a wind turbine maker, said on Friday it has signed a partnership agreement for 1,000 megawatts of wind power projects with Caparo Energy India, in a deal valued at around USD 1.28 billion.


      Caparo Energy India is a wholly owned subsidiary of AIM listed Caparo Energy.


      Half of the capacity will be commissioned by March 2012, and the other half by the following year, Suzlon said.


      Shares in Suzlon were up by about 0.7% early Friday trade, outperforming a broader Mumbai market that was down by 0.5%.
