Oil marketing companies, on Tuesday, announced a reduction in the prices of commercial LPG cylinders, bringing relief to businesses and industries relying on bulk cooking fuel.
Effective immediately, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has been slashed by Rs 41. In the national capital, Delhi, the revised retail selling price now stands at Rs 1,762 per cylinder.
The revised prices in other cities are as follows:
This reduction comes after a Rs 6 price hike on March 1 and a Rs 7 cut on February 1. In contrast, December saw a steep Rs 62 surge in commercial LPG rates. The latest price drop is expected to provide some relief to restaurants, hotels, and other businesses that rely on bulk LPG supply.
OMCs adjust LPG prices monthly based on global crude oil trends and market dynamics. While commercial LPG prices have been fluctuating, domestic LPG cylinder rates remain unchanged in this revision, offering stability to household consumers.
LPG prices vary across states due to local taxes and transportation costs. Consumers and businesses are advised to check with their suppliers for the latest applicable rates.
