Blinkit to deliver new PlayStation 5 Slim in 10 minutes, joins hands with Sony

Customers in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, and Bengaluru can now enjoy 10-min deliveries of the new PS5 Slim editions and controllers via Blinkit

Quick commerce platform Blinkit, owned by Zomato, has joined hands with Sony to distribute the PlayStation 5 Slim edition gaming console in India, set to debut on April 5. Customers in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, and Bengaluru can now enjoy swift deliveries of the new PS5 Slim editions and controllers within just 10 minutes, as announced by Blinkit in a press release. Albinder Dhindsa, CEO of Blinkit, also confirmed the partnership via a post on X.

The Japanese electronics giant disclosed the pricing details for the Indian market ahead of the launch: PlayStation 5 Slim (Disc version) at Rs 54,990 and PlayStation 5 Slim Digital Edition at Rs 44,990.

Both models are currently available in India through select platforms, including Blinkit. Additionally, Blinkit will offer the compatible vertical stand as an add-on accessory for the new PS5 models.

Details of the PlayStation 5 Slim series include a sleek form factor, occupying 30 percent less volume than its predecessor. The standard PS5 model with an inbuilt disc drive has seen an 18 percent reduction in weight compared to the previous generation, while the Digital Edition is 30 percent lighter.
