Iconic British luxury car brand Aston Martin is all set to roll out its latest offering, the DB12, in India on September 29. Unveiled in May 2023, the high-performance grand tourer is essentially the successor to the DB11 for worldwide markets.
Estimated to be priced at around Rs 4.8 crore (approx), the DB12 will be imported by Aston Martin from its Gaydon, Warwickshire facility in the United Kingdom, and will attract more than 100-percent import duty. Once launched, this model will be taking on the likes of the Ferrari Roma and the McLaren GT in the high-performance coupe segment.
Amedeo Felisa, Chief Executive Officer of Aston Martin, in an official release, had earlier said, “When a brand has as much history as Aston Martin it is important to honour the past. Not by looking back, but by pushing on with the same energy and passion that propelled our founders 110 years ago. With the new DB12, we are reinvigorating the DB model line and reasserting Aston Martin as a maker of truly exceptional performance sportscars.”
Specs
The Aston Martin DB12 is equipped with a Mercedes-AMG-sourced 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, which will put out 671 bhp of power and 800 Nm of peak torque, and is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The high-performance grand tourer can accelerate from 0-96km/h in just 3.5 seconds and attain a top speed of 325km/h.
“By combining class-leading performance and exceptional chassis dynamics with cutting-edge technology, impeccable craftsmanship and immaculate design, DB12 leads Aston Martin into a new era of excellence, ” added Felisa in the same release.
Aston Martin DB12 is expected to be offered with a 10.25-inch TFT Touch Screen Central Display, Apple CarPlay support, 10.25-inch TFT driver information display, 390-watt 11 Speaker Aston Martin Audio System, Wireless Phone Charging, Natural Voice Control, Satellite Navigation System, and 360 and 3D Surround View System (3D SVS).
