Gen Z star Rasha Thadani is going places — not just with her acting chops but also her style. She loves to experiment with a variety of fashionable outfits, and the saree is quickly becoming one of her signature looks. The actress recently donned a sparkling green saree that instantly reminded us of the one Katrina Kaif wore earlier this year.
For the red carpet at an awards night, Rasha slipped into a stunning, nature-inspired saree by Anita Dongre. Priced at Rs 2,25,000, she exuded grace beyond her years in the tulle six-yard drape, embellished with delicate threadwork, beads, and sequins. As described on the designer’s website, “The elegant saree is an ode to the many-hued greens found in the forest.”
Rasha styled the saree traditionally with a nude-toned blouse featuring similar embroidery. She kept her accessories minimal, wearing just a few rings, and posed gracefully for the cameras. Her centre-parted hair was straightened and styled with soft romantic waves, while pink-toned makeup lit up her face.
Many were reminded of her mother, Raveena Tandon, as Rasha matched her elegance and charm, walking into the venue with admirable grace. She also took to the stage to perform iconic Bollywood numbers, including Raveena’s Tip Tip Barsa Paani and Madhuri Dixit’s Ek Do Teen.
Rasha’s look drew immediate comparisons to Katrina Kaif’s appearance at the screening of her husband Vicky Kaushal’s film Chhava in February. Katrina too wore an Anita Dongre saree in powder blue, inspired by “wildflowers sprung amidst scenic meadows,” as mentioned on the website. It was priced between Rs 1,60,000 and Rs 1,98,000.
Katrina looked ethereal in the pastel blue drape adorned with delicate floral prints. Much like Rasha, the blooms were highlighted with bead and sequin detailing, and paired with a matching blouse.
She accessorised with emerald earrings, bangles, and rings. Her side-parted hair looked effortlessly elegant, and her soft makeup added to the romantic appeal. A tiny green bindi completed her look.
