Kanye West has strict rules for wife Bianca Censori; Relationship expert lists possible reasons for West's controlling behaviour

Netizens are slamming Kanye West for controlling wife Bianca Censori's different aspects of life. However, she reportedly doesn't have an issue with it. Relationship expert sheds light on why some individuals become control freaks in relationships.

Kanye West is micromanaging his wife Bianca Censori's diet, workout plan, what clothes she wears and more. One would assume that the latter would have a problem with it, but guess what? She's actually okay with it.

It's one thing to advice someone to eat well and take care of one's body, however, it's completely another thing to place strict rules for someone and monitor everything they eat, do and where. Reportedly, Kanye has stipulated that Bianca should not get any tattoos, piercings or have tan lines.

Interestingly, Kanye also likes to see Bianca dressed up in daring and skimpy outfits that he designs for her. What's more is when they go out to dine out, Bianca is allowed to only order appetisers. Yes! Imagine! In fact, at home too, to keep her portion size in check, Bianca is allowed to eat only in smaller salad plates.

Wondering what exactly Bianca perceives about all this? A source told Daily Mail that, "Most women would hate this move, they would think their husband was controlling them, but Bianca likes it because she feels her husband is supporting her and helping her look as good as she can. Bianca likes putting her body on display, she loves flaunting her curves, she is kind of an exhibitionist. No one knows if this is the real her or if Kanye has brainwashed her.”

When it comes to working out, Kanye again monitors what workouts Bianca does. The source revealed that it's not like Kanye asks Bianca to do extreme workouts, but at the same time he encourages her to get enough movement through the day.

Many netizens are furious to know how Kanye has been calling the shots on behalf of his wife. What's even more infuriating for them to know is that Bianca apparently doesn't have a problem with all this. Moneycontrol's team spoke to relationship expert Ruchi Ruuh to understand what prompts some men to behave in such a controlling fashion and why some women are okay being told what to do and what not to do.

"Clearly, in the case of Kanye West and his wife Bianca Censori, going by what the reports suggest, it seems the former is enforcing things on his wife. His acts don't reflect care, but authoritarian behaviour," she identified.

Is it a healthy thing to do?

"When one partner begins to dictate what the other eats, wears or does with their own body, it infringes on the other person' autonomy. True partnership allows individuals to grow and do whatever they want. A healthy partner celebrates your choices, instead of curating or dictating them for you. Even if Bianca appears fine with it, control masked as protection or preference often inflicts damage on a person's autonomy slowly but surely. Compliance to this behaviour shouldn't be seen as love or loyalty," opined Ruuh.

Why some men exhibit controlling tendencies

1. Deep rooted insecurities

When men try to control their partner, it either stems from their insecurities or a deep fear of losing their partner. "For some, having control over their partner gives them a false sense of safety," Ruuh told Moneycontrol.

2. Past relationship failure

Another plausible reason that can explain this is that people do this, because they've been betrayed or abandoned in the past. To prevent things from going south, they try to control every aspect of their relationship, not realising that it can take a toll on their relationship.

3. Overconfidence in one's own abilities

It is also possible that some individuals strongly feel that they know what’s “best” for their partner. "They see their partner as an extension of them rather than individuals with their own mind and autonomy," Ruuh stated.

4. Illusion of money, power and fame
Ruuh also felt that fame, money and even emotional manipulation can be tools to gain dominance over the other person. "The surplus of power, money or fame can create a power imbalance between a couple, creating an illusion that the one with more resources has the final say in every matter," she concluded.
