SECR Apprentice Recruitment 2025: Application Begins for 1007 Posts, Apply by May 4

The South East Central Railway (SECR) has started the application process for 1,007 Apprentice posts under its 2025 recruitment drive. Candidates who have completed their Class 10 (matriculation) and hold an ITI certificate in the relevant trade can apply online. The recruitment is being conducted for the Nagpur and Motibag Divisions of SECR.

The online application process began on 5 April 2025 and will close on 4 May 2025. Interested candidates should ensure they meet the eligibility criteria and complete the application process before the deadline.

The apprenticeship programme is for a period of one year and falls under the Apprentices Act, 1961. It aims to provide hands-on training and skill development in various trades. This is a good opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in the railway sector.

Application Process

The application form is available on the official SECR website. Candidates must complete their registration and E-KYC process to generate a Portal Registration Number.

Applicants will also need to upload or carry the following documents during the process:

• Proof of age (e.g. birth certificate or matriculation certificate)
• Educational qualification certificates
• ITI trade certificate
• Category certificate (if applicable)
• Aadhar card

Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit. Equal weightage will be given to the marks scored in Class 10 and ITI. No written exam or interview will be conducted. Once the merit list is prepared, selected candidates will be called for document verification. They may also be required to present a medical fitness certificate during verification.

Candidates are encouraged to complete their applications well before the closing date to avoid last-minute issues.
