Ever wish you could hit the pause button on ageing—particularly those fine lines and dull skin we start noticing as the years go by? Nutritionist Anjali Mukerjee believes she has an easy, affordable solution: a homemade juice brimming with antioxidants that supports skin rejuvenation from the inside out.

Although aging is a natural process, the rate at which your body shows signs of ageing can be increased or slowed down by what you eat. According to nutritionist Anjali Mukherjee, eating a diet rich in antioxidant foods helps delay the ageing process.

She recently shared a simple, high-nutrient juice recipe on Instagram using amla (Indian gooseberry), pomegranate, and black grapes—a potent trio known for their skin-protective properties.

The star ingredients- beetroot and amla (Indian gooseberry)- an anti-aging nutraceutical combination, work at the very cellular level to pour in free radical-fighting strength.

Beetroot contains vitamin C, iron, and nitrates that facilitate blood flow, improve skin flexibility, and assist in the body's elimination of toxins-giving, an internal radiance.

While amla comprises a huge amount of vitamin C and is celebrated in Indian tradition to help in collagen production and resist oxidative stress-those two are crucial in slowing down any appearance of ageing.

On her Instagram, nutritionist Anjali Mukerjee posted the recipe for anti-aging juice:

  • One little amla
  • One pomegranate cup
  • One cup of black grapes
  • Chat masala to taste
  • Add black salt to taste

Grate and mix the deseeded amla, then strain it. Juice the black grapes and pomegranate. Mix the two juices together, add a pinch of black salt and chat masala, and serve right away.

Pro tip: Drink this juice within 20 minutes of extraction for best results.

Why It Works

Free radicals are unstable chemicals that can damage skin cells and accelerate the aging process. They are produced by normal metabolism, environmental stress, and UV exposure. Antioxidants, such as those in amla and beetroot, neutralize dangerous free radicals and safeguard and nourish your skin's cellular structure. Over time, this lessens aging symptoms like pigmentation, sagging, and fine lines.

While no beverage can stop the clock entirely, drinking antioxidant-rich beverages like this one, in addition to maintaining a healthy diet, getting regular exercise, and getting enough sleep, can significantly postpone the visible indications of ageing and enhance overall health.
