Shilpa Shetty takes fitness seriously and ensures her followers also stay motivated by throwing them exciting challenges. Back with her Monday motivation, Shilpa posted a video on Instagram where she performed a mobility move called the Malasana pose and listed its health benefits.
What is the Malasana Pose?Malasana, or Garland Pose, is an easy yet effective yoga movement in which a deep squat is performed, lowering the hips to the ground while keeping the feet firm on the floor.
How to Perform the Malasana Pose?Stand with your feet hip-width apart, with toes slightly turned out. Keep your spine straight. Bend your knees and lower your hips to the ground, keeping your feet flat. Open your knees wider than your hips, bring your hands together in front, and press your inner thighs with your elbows. Keep your chest open, back straight, and hold the position for a few seconds before returning to the standing position.

To encourage her followers, Shilpa listed all the benefits that come with performing the mobility move. She shared:

She said, “Hips don’t lie—especially when it comes to this mobility move. Try to go down as much as you can, touch your hips to the floor, and then try standing up. I did it, can you?”
Many fans praised Shilpa for her strength and flexibility, while others felt it was due to years of experience. One user wrote, “You can do it easily because of a lot of experience and practice.” Some said they would give it a shot, while others shared that they were able to perform it successfully.
