Amid buzz over senior Pakistan minister Marriyum Aurangzeb’s stunning transformation after she appeared at Junaid Safdar’s wedding, Hadiyya Javed, a makeup artist and salon owner from Lahore, shared her own journey of shedding 50 kg, which she said took patience and resilience.

What’s admirable is that Hadiyya went through her share of ups and downs but never gave up. Sharing a picture album on Instagram, she wrote, “Everyone’s talking about Marriyum Aurangzeb’s transformation, so I thought it’s time I talked about mine.”

Hadiyya shared pictures in which it’s easy to witness the massive changes her body has experienced over the years, starting from 2018. She was honest about her ‘saggy’ body and also about a ‘tummy tuck’ she opted for in 2019, which she said was a necessity at the time.

In her note she confessed, "A massive weight loss journey of over 50 kg doesn’t come without its own challenges — and yes, sagging is real. I went through a tummy tuck in 2019, something that was absolutely needed at that stage of my journey.”

Managing weight especially with time and life changes is not easy. Another turn was when she got pregnant for the second time and gained 30 kg. However, she put in the work and lost it, only to regain it after undergoing a spine surgery.

“Then life happened. I had my second baby in 2022, gained almost 30 kgs, worked hard and lost it again. In 2025, I underwent a spine surgery, gained around 8 kgs, and once again, stayed consistent and lost it,” she added.

Hadiyya clarified that transformation needs honesty. Since Marriyum Aurangzeb has been accused of undergoing cosmetic procedures, she clarified, “Not every transformation is “under the knife,” but some procedures, when done responsibly and at the right time, are self-care — not shortcuts.”

“For my face, I trusted only one doctor @drkdubai @antiagelifestyleclinic who understood my vision: to manage sagging, improve skin quality, and enhance my features while keeping me as natural as possible.”

So even though transformations may appear sudden, they take years of “patience, discipline, motherhood, health battles, healing — and choosing yourself, again and again,” she concluded.
