These days, actors are not only focused on their performance on the big screen but also on their appearance. For a lean and toned look, they often work with nutritionists who personalise their diets, keeping their hectic schedules, workout routines, and dietary requirements in mind.

Ibrahim Ali Khan is one of the most recent Gen Z stars to undergo a physical transformation for his role in Nadaaniyan, his first film. His six-pack abs truly stole the show, making him look hotter than ever. His nutritionist, Nicole Linhares Kedia, told NDTV some of the secrets that helped the actor achieve an enviable physique.

She shared that nutrition in most cases is the most important aspect for “both appearance and performance. For anyone, but especially for people constantly in the public eye. How you fuel your body directly influences not just how you look, but your energy, mood, skin health, and overall presence.”

Nicole focused on bringing structure to Ibrahim’s diet by introducing balance. She shared he enjoyed dishes like bhurji, parathas, wraps, and shawarmas and relied on red meat for his protein intake. However, he didn’t bother much about the macros.

She added, “Our goal was to bring more balance into his diet by introducing antioxidant-rich foods, increasing fibre, and adding elements like fennel seeds to help stabilise blood sugar levels.

Instead of eliminating Ibrahim’s favourite food, biryani, she revealed that healthier options like brown rice and quinoa were chosen to reduce its negative impact.

It didn’t end there. Nicole shared that Ibrahim Ali Khan’s circadian rhythm was also out of place. "At times, he would train on an empty stomach, which wasn't ideal, given the intensity of his workouts. So we introduced a light pre-workout snack - typically a banana with mixed seeds — along with electrolyte-rich water during training. Post-workout, he had a good protein source within 90 minutes to support recovery and performance," Nicole revealed.
