Shahid Kapoor is one of the finest actors in Bollywood and February 25 marks his birthday. This year, the actor turned 45. However, the question is does he really look 45? Many would agree that given his fitness levels and physique, he still looks like someone in his 30s.
From Jab We Met to Haider, if you see his roles, you will see he has grown as an actor and broadened his horizon. His success as an actor can also be attributed to his disciplined lifestyle. In many interviews, his wife Mira Kapoor has mentioned that she feels inspired by Shahid when it comes to following a routine.
The actor is a vegetarian and many find it hard to believe in view of his ripped abs, biceps or his muscular lean body. One really can't help, but feel inspired. The refrain of most vegetarians is that they don't have enough sources of protein to build muscles. However, Shahid has mentioned in his interviews that it's not true and that there are many great sources of vegetarian sources of protein.
The best part about Shahid's diet is that it's not something fancy, or unsustainable. He sticks to the basics and exercise discretion. Once he told Indian Express, "I try to eat clean and stay disciplined, but I am not extreme about it. I have been a vegetarian, so my meals naturally stay balanced - plenty of greens, vegetables, and pulses. I avoid heavy, unhealthy foods and don’t eat late at night, as it really affects my energy. Instead of weighing everything I eat, I prefer smaller, frequent meals that keep me feeling light and steady.”
Another thing that the actor swears by is portion control. He ensures that he eats at regular intervals, but he eats mindfully. He is also disciplined when it comes to drinking enough water and making sure he's hydrated at all times. Once Mira had mentioned in an interview that Shahid doesn't eat anything at all late into the night. The lesson? If you truly want to be in best shape, you need to make healthy rules and stick to them no matter what.
Shahid's Instagram page is proof how big of a gym junkie he is. He loves strength training. He once mentioned in an interview, "For me, fitness is about consistency rather than intensity. My routine usually includes a mix of functional training, strength work, and mobility exercises to keep me agile and injury-free. I prefer training in the morning, which gives me a good head start to the day.”
