On July 24, Korean media outlets and fans discovered that the actor was following a pornographic archive account, prompting a flurry of reactions online.

The follow was quickly removed, but not before screenshots began circulating across platforms, drawing mixed reactions from fans and critics alike.

In response to the growing chatter, Yeo Jin Goo’s team promptly issued an official statement to Newsen, clarifying that the incident was unintentional. “The account in question is not personally managed by the actor — it is handled by staff. It was a simple misclick, and we will take steps to ensure this doesn’t happen again,” a representative explained.

The statement seemed to ease concerns among fans, many of whom rallied in support of the actor, citing the nature of human error and the risks of team-managed accounts. Still, the moment offered a reminder of how closely public figures’ social media activities are monitored and interpreted.

Yeo Jin Goo is one of South Korea’s most beloved young actors, often referred to as the “Nation’s Little Brother.” He began his acting career as a child and steadily rose to fame, with notable early performances in films like Hwayi: A Monster Boy, which earned him the Best New Actor award at the 34th Blue Dragon Film Awards.
