Talking about how she dealt with her feelings post divorce, Amrita said, "I think as a woman I had to just deal with the fact that you win some and you lose some, and this was, you know, just not destined to be. I was hurt, I was very hurt. I didn't think of other issues at that time. I had to first deal with my emotions as a woman."

The process of their divorce was very painful, especially for their two young kids, sara and Ibrahim.

When Pooja Bedi asked about how Amrita Singh managed her divorce from Saif, especially considering her responsibilities as a single mother to their two children, Sara and Ibrahim, and whether it frightened her, Amrita responded, "No, it didn't scare me at all. Because till I am alive, I know I'm capable. What will happen if money doesn't come? I will sell everything and shift to a smaller house. Atleast we'll get the food and we'll survive. I'm happy in some aspect or maybe i am not and this happens often throughout life."

Drawing from her own background of growing up in a divorced family, she utilized that insight to navigate the complexities of life after separation.
