The first trailer of the much-awaited movie 'Homebound,' which has been creating waves at the international film festivals, is finally out and the trailer is all about the brotherly bond between the two leads played by Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa.

Ishaan and Vishal played childhood friends and share the ambition of being successful in their lives. But how, for one caste and another person, does his religion turn into a barrier to achieving their dreams?

The trailer opens with Vishal Jethwa's character inquiring about police recruitment results and then how he always dreams of building a cemented house for his parents.

The trailer shows the turmoil in the lives of these young men. They meet with a girl (Janhvi Kapoor) who aspires to be a graduate and even wishes to do a PhD. The trailer is more about their desires, the struggles to achieve their dreams and the indefinite fight to stay afloat.

Homebound was recently screened at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) after the Cannes Film Festival in May 2025.

Directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Neeraj Ghaywan, Homebound has been creating buzz across the global festival circuit for its powerful storytelling and performances.

The film stars Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa and Janhvi Kapoor in the leads and is all set to release on September 26.

The film is produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra, alongside co-producers Marijke de Souza and Melita Toscan Du Plantier. Martin Scorsese is the executive producer.
