Veteran actor and filmmaker Ranjeet, fondly remembered as one of Hindi cinema’s most iconic villains, has once again proven that age is no barrier when it comes to having fun. The actor recently grabbed attention after sharing a delightful video of himself dancing to Fa9la, the viral track from Akshaye Khanna and Ranveer Singh’s blockbuster film Dhurandhar. What made the moment even more special was the reason behind it. The performance, Ranjeet revealed, was a birthday demand from his six-year-old granddaughter.

Dhurandhar continues to dominate conversations for its larger-than-life performances, striking soundtrack, and roaring box office success. Amid the flood of praise pouring in from audiences and celebrities alike, Ranjeet’s light-hearted video added a warm, personal touch to the film’s growing cultural footprint.

Taking to his official Instagram handle, the veteran star shared a clip of himself dancing enthusiastically to Fa9la beside a swimming pool during his granddaughter Deeya’s sixth birthday celebrations. Dressed casually and clearly enjoying the moment, Ranjeet showed off his moves with infectious energy, instantly winning hearts online.

Along with the video, Ranjeet penned a playful caption that reflected his trademark sense of humour and love for family. He wrote that girls have always made him dance, and this time it was his granddaughter who turned him “crazy” on her birthday and made him groove. He added that spending time dancing with children keeps one fit, encouraging others to do the same. The post quickly drew admiration from fans, who loved seeing the actor’s softer, fun-loving side away from his legendary on-screen villain image.

The song Fa9la, which features in Dhurandhar, has emerged as a full-blown viral sensation since the film’s release. Sung by Bahrain-based rapper Flipperachi, the track has resonated strongly with listeners across age groups, blending international hip-hop energy with Bollywood swagger. Following its release, Fa9la shot to the top of Spotify’s India Top 50 chart, making it the most-streamed song in the country and cementing Flipperachi’s place as a breakout name in Bollywood music.

On screen, the track accompanies the powerful entry sequence of Akshaye Khanna’s character, Rehman Dakait, a moment that has become one of the film’s most talked-about highlights. The combination of striking visuals, commanding screen presence, and the pulsating soundtrack has made the sequence endlessly replayable on social media.

At the box office, Dhurandhar continues its dream run. The Aditya Dhar directorial crossed the Rs 300 crore mark in India within just a week of release, underlining its mass appeal. By day nine, the film had collected Rs 327 crore domestically. On day ten, December 14, it added another Rs 59 crore, recording an impressive average occupancy rate of 78 percent.
