In the latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, Kapil Sharma welcomed the star-studded cast of the thriller Do Patti, including Kajol, Kriti Sanon, Shaheer Sheikh, and writer Kanika Dhillon. The film marks Kajol's debut as a police officer and Kriti Sanon in a challenging dual role.
Kapil started the episode by bringing Kajol and Kriti onto the set in his signature style, cracking a playful joke that had the crowd in stitches. He remarked, “Ek woh hai jinko main college time se pasand karta hu, dusri woh hai jo mujhe apne college time se pasand karti hai."
Kapil asked about the challenges she faced playing a double role. Kriti candidly shared that unlike typical twin characters who meet only toward the film’s climax, 70-80% of her scenes involve interacting with herself, demanding unique shifts in style and mood for each take.
When Shaheer Sheikh joined the stage with Kanika Dhillon, Kapil introduced him to the audience as 'Indonesia ka Shah Rukh Khan'. Surprised by Kapil’s enthusiasm, Shaheer explained, “Yes, they call me that sometimes. SRK is a huge star there, and for them, India is synonymous with Shah Rukh Khan. So after I did a show and some films there, they started calling me ‘Indonesia Ka Shah Rukh Khan.’”
Kriti and Kanika joked that Shaheer took on Do Patti just to be on Kapil’s show. Kapil further teased Shaheer about romancing “two Kritis” in the film, and the actor humorously affirmed, “Aisa hi kuch hai.”.

In Moneycontrol.com review of Do Patti, film critic Deepansh Duggal wrote, "Do Patti is a Kriti Sanon show all the way. While Saumya and Shailee are written in the most clichéd way possible, the two characters work simply because Sanon manages to bring out the contrast between the two well. She balances Saumya's reserved, coy demeanor with Shailee’s wild, middle-finger throwing, Vodka chugging persona, quite well."
The film is now streaming on Netflix.
