Actor and Thalapathy Vijay, one of the leading stars in Tamil cinema, is gearing up for his one last film, Jana Nayagan, before his retirement from acting. The actor has announced his retirement after his 69th film to focus on his political career.
However, the makers have recently created a buzz among the fans with a new exciting update on the film. The production banner of the film, KVN Productions, revealed on Friday that a first glimpse of the upcoming political action thriller will be released on Vijay’s birthday, which falls on Sunday, June 22.
The official social media handles of the production house shared an intense new poster of the film and revealed that a special "glimpse" video will be unveiled at 12:00 AM on the actor's birthday.
However, recent reports have just increased the excitement of the fans. There have been reports that Vijay will lend his vocals to a special farewell track titled One Last Song in his film. The rumoured track is reportedly from H Vinoth's upcoming film.
According to Valai Pechu, Vijay’s last song is reportedly a high-energy kuthu number packed with nostalgia. The song will feature lyrical references to Vijay's most iconic dialogues and moments from his illustrious career. If the reports are true, the upcoming song would mark Vijay's fifth vocal collaboration with music composer Anirudh Ravichander.
While fans have been eagerly anticipating the song, the makers are yet to officially confirm the speculations.
Meanwhile, Jana Nayagan features a star-studded cast, including Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mamitha Baiju, Narain, and Shruti Haasan. Directed by H Vinoth, the upcoming film is set to be a grand farewell to Vijay’s legacy.
Jana Nayagan is set to hit the theatres on January 9.
