Salman Khan hosted Bigg Boss 19 will soon premiere with more drama and controversial contestant line-ups. While fans are still waiting for the makers to unveil the official list of contestants, several reports have already teased the line-ups.

However, the latest reports by India Today have suggested that Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Shailesh Lodha was approached for Bigg Boss. A source told the outlet that the makers are eagerly looking forward to adding Shailesh, who is known for playing the role of Taarak Mehta in the popular sitcom, to the list of contestants.

Shailesh was reportedly approached by the Bigg Boss team to participate in the show. However, the makers and Shailesh are yet to confirm the reports.

Previously, the reports suggested that another Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor, Munmun Dutta, was approached for the reality TV show.

While the Bigg Boss 19 contestant list is yet to be officially revealed, there are speculations that The Traitors contestants Apoorva Mukhija and Purav Jha, actors Ram Kapoor and Gautami Kapoor, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Munmun Dutta, Ashish Vidyarthi, and social media creator Faisal Shaikh will join the show. There is no official confirmation on the casting.

Meanwhile, the traditional Bigg Boss format will undergo major changes. The previous reports suggested that the makers are planning to change the show’s format. The first one-hour episode will stream on JioHotstar, followed by a delayed live broadcast on Colors TV.

The digital platform will provide a 24/7 live feed. The upcoming season is also expected to be longer, running for 20 to 22 weeks instead of the usual 15 weeks.
The much-anticipated Bigg Boss 19 will premiere on JioHotstar on August 24.
