Pawan Kalyan, a Telugu movie star and the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, made headlines recently when he gave director Sujeeth a brand-new Land Rover Defender as a thank-you for their successful film They Call Him OG. The luxury SUV, which is worth about Rs 3 crore, was given to Sujeeth right after OG did well at the box office. The movie went on to make over Rs 300 crore worldwide, making it one of Pawan Kalyan's biggest hits.
The Story Behind the Action
Many people thought the car was just a gift to celebrate the movie's success, but the real story behind the gesture is more personal and deeper. During the last stages of OG's production, the crew had to film a crucial schedule in Japan. This scene was important for both the film's visual continuity and its narrative impact. But the producers had a hard time approving the overseas schedule because of budget problems.
Sujeeth reportedly sold his own Land Rover Defender to pay for the Japan schedule himself, using the money to travel and finish the shoot. He was determined not to give up on his vision. Pawan Kalyan was very moved when he heard about this amazing sacrifice during the dubbing phase. In exchange, he gave Sujeeth a brand-new Defender of the same model and agreed to pay for the car's EMI payments.

Sujeeth's Thank You and Fan Reactions
Sujeeth went on social media to share his happiness and thanks. He posted pictures with Pawan Kalyan and said it was the "best gift ever" and that he was "overwhelmed and grateful beyond words." He also talked about how important the moment was, especially since he had gone from being a fan of Pawan Kalyan to getting such a nice gift from him.
Many fans and people in the industry have praised the gesture, saying that it shows a rare bond of respect and admiration between an actor and director.
About They Call Him OG
Sujeeth wrote and directed They Call Him OG, a period action crime thriller that stars Pawan Kalyan and a cast of other actors, including Emraan Hashmi, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Prakash Raj, and others. The movie is about Ojas Gambheera (OG), a former gangster who comes back to face off against rival crime lords and settle old scores. It mixes action with character drama.
Pawan Kalyan will star in Harish Shankar's Ustaad Bhagat Singh, which is set to come out in 2026. This is after his big success and emotional moment with Sujeeth. In the meantime, Sujeeth is working on other things, like a project with actor Nani.
