Sajid Nadiadwala’s upcoming film O’Romeo has been steadily building anticipation ever since its announcement, and for good reason. Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, the film brings together an exciting ensemble featuring Shahid Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, Avinash Tiwary, Nana Patekar, and Farida Jalal. With Bhardwaj’s distinct storytelling style and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment backing the project, O’Romeo is being positioned as one of the most compelling theatrical releases of 2026.

One of the film’s biggest talking points is Shahid Kapoor’s reunion with veteran actor Nana Patekar after their 2010 film Paathshaala. Opening up about working with Nana once again, Shahid spoke with visible admiration and warmth about the experience and the dynamic they share on screen.

“Yes! I really enjoyed working with Nana Patekar in Paathshaala,” Shahid shared. “In fact, I was talking to him just today. I told him, ‘Sir, the chemistry between you and me is very sexy.’”

Shahid went on to describe what makes working with Nana Patekar such a special experience. “It’s great fun working with him. He is an outstanding actor. When the camera turns on and he starts performing, it’s not only enjoyable to work with him, but you also get to learn a lot from him,” he said.

For Shahid, the collaboration also carries a sense of personal nostalgia. “I’ve been watching him since my childhood,” he added, underlining the impact Nana Patekar has had on generations of actors and audiences alike. “In this film, we have some very entertaining scenes together.”

O’Romeo marks another collaboration between Shahid Kapoor and director Vishal Bhardwaj, a duo known for pushing creative boundaries and delivering layered performances. With Nana Patekar in the mix, the film promises powerful confrontations, sharp dialogues, and moments charged with intensity and dark humour, all trademarks of Bhardwaj’s cinema.

The film also stars Triptii Dimri and Avinash Tiwary in key roles, adding further depth to the narrative, while Farida Jalal’s presence brings gravitas to the ensemble. Though the makers have kept plot details tightly under wraps, the buzz around the cast and creative team has only grown stronger.

Presented by Sajid Nadiadwala, O’Romeo is produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. The film is set for a theatrical release on February 13, 2026, and is already shaping up to be one of the most talked-about releases of the year.
