The wedding celebrations of actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna continue to capture widespread attention, with the couple now preparing to host a grand reception in Hyderabad on March 4. The event is scheduled to take place at Taj Krishna at 7 pm and is expected to bring together prominent names from both the Telugu and Hindi film industries.
According to sources close to the event, several high-profile personalities are set to attend the reception. While leading Telugu stars such as Allu Arjun and Ram Charan are expected to be present, the guest list also includes actors and filmmakers from Bollywood. Among those anticipated at the celebration are Karan Johar, Sreeleela, Mrunal Thakur, Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and filmmaker Homi Adajania, who worked with Rashmika on Cocktail 2.
However, despite the star-studded lineup, the reception will remain a strictly invite-only gathering. The couple earlier released a statement explaining that the guest list had been further restricted following advice from local authorities to ensure safety and smooth arrangements.
“Your safety and happiness mean everything to us. We are deeply thankful for your love and blessings, and we request your cooperation in helping us keep this celebration safe and joyful for everyone,” the couple shared in their message.
Police officials, event organisers and family members jointly agreed on the decision after assessing potential crowding and traffic concerns around the venue. Sources also indicated that if the demand from well-wishers remains overwhelming, additional receptions may be organised in the future in a more structured format to accommodate fans and extended networks.
The Hyderabad reception comes just days after Vijay and Rashmika tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Udaipur on February 26. The wedding itself was a private affair attended only by close family members and a handful of friends. The rituals were designed to honour both Telugu and Kodava traditions, reflecting the cultural backgrounds of the two actors.
After returning to Hyderabad following the ceremony, the newlyweds briefly greeted paparazzi outside their residence and distributed sweets as a gesture of gratitude.
In a unique move to celebrate their wedding with fans across India, the couple also organised nationwide festivities. On March 1, trucks carrying mithai were sent to several major cities including Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad. In addition, annadanam was conducted at 16 temples across the country.
In their public note, Vijay and Rashmika wrote, “To the beautiful people of this country. You have always been a part of our journeys and our love. It would make us truly happy to celebrate our wedding with all of you.”
Their heartfelt gesture and the upcoming reception highlight the couple’s effort to balance private celebrations with their deep appreciation for fans nationwide.
