Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar’s son, Arjun Tendulkar, tied the knot with entrepreneur Saaniya Chandhok on Thursday morning in a star-studded ceremony. The guest list included popular personalities from entertainment, business, cricket and politics.
Singer Harshdeep Kaur also attended the event and reunited with Shah Rukh Khan. She took to her Instagram and shared a picture with SRK. Sharing the pic, she penned in the caption, “Deedar tera milne ke baad hi… @iamsrk.”
For Arjun’s wedding, Shah Rukh Khan sported a cream-toned sherwani made from a textured, self-patterned fabric. The tailored with a modern touch, featured a unique open-neck design and a vertical row of ornate, dark-toned buttons that provide a sharp contrast against the light fabric.
He pairs the sherwani with matching trousers and accessorises with layered gold chains and tinted aviator sunglasses, blending traditional royalty with his signature contemporary style.
Harshdeep looked equally stunning in an off-white Anarkali suit characterised by its intricate craftsmanship. The outfit features a sheer, floor-length overlay with a wide, embroidered border at the hem, creating a regal silhouette. She completed her look with traditional heavy jhumka earrings and a simple bracelet, maintaining a classic and graceful appearance.
For the unversed, Shah Rukh and Harshdeep collaborated for the 2017 film Raees song Zaalima. The film features Shah Rukh and Pakistani actress Mahira Khan in the lead roles.
Meanwhile, Harshdeep, along with Shankar Mahadevan, added emotional depth to the wedding ceremony with their stellar performance. Shankar sang the Mangalashtak, while Harshdeep Kaur's voice accompanied the bride's entrance. The celebration smoothly changed into a traditional Maharashtrian sit-down Pangat after the formalities.
The St Regis in Mumbai hosted the official wedding ceremony, which was themed "SaaJ," a portmanteau of the couple's names. The wedding's emphasis was on "subtle grandeur," as opposed to the vibrant mehendi.
