Television has been a long-standing dose of daily entertainment for all the household audience along with those who want to break free from the monotonous routine of office work.

Love it or hate it, but the viewers definitely cannot and have not been able to live without the daily dose of drama the fiction shows provide and that is one of the primary reasons why there are some concepts which run for many years.

One of the many shows is Sasural Simar Ka which aired from a period of 2011 to 2018.

Its peculiar transformation, which centered on the lives of two sisters, Simar and Roli, in the Bharadwaj family, cemented its place in pop culture history and starred Dipika Kakar in the lead role.

Shoaib Ibrahim became a quintessential part of the storyline in the later stages of the show.

Many other actors in the likes of Avika Gor, another parallel lead, Jayati Bhatia, Dheeraj Dhoopar and many others had contributed significantly to the plotline.

Well, keeping in mind the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi, the team found an opportunity to reunite on this occasion.

Actors Dheeraj Dhoopar along with his wife Vinny Arora, Avika Gor, Milind Chandwani, Manish Raisinghan, Jayati Bhatia, Jyotsana Chandola, Sangeita Chauhaan and many others got together and they not only seem to have spent some quality time recollecting and cherishing sweet memories but they also gathered for a group photograph. Dipika was missing from the reunion.

Speaking about the show, while Sasural Simar Ka made a special place in the hearts of the audience for its regular drama, it transitioned into absurd plotlines, one of them being the supernatural track about Simar turning into a housefly, as she is cursed.

Over the course of several weeks, this track became popular, sparking thousands of trolls and memes on social media. The storyline was further thrust into fantasy area with the introduction of additional supernatural elements including witches, demonic spirits, and shape-shifting snakes (Naagins).
