Salman Khan is currently in full swing promoting his upcoming film Sikandar, which is set to hit theatres on March 30, 2025. During a recent press conference, the superstar expressed his desire to work with younger actors such as Janhvi Kapoor and Ananya Panday. However, he acknowledged that this desire has often been complicated by the age gap concerns raised by others.

Salman candidly shared, “If I want to work with Ananya or Janhvi, people have made it difficult for me because then they talk about the age gap. I work with them thinking it's giving them a good opportunity, and even then, I will continue to work with them.”

The actor’s comments highlight his belief in giving young talent the opportunity to shine, regardless of age differences.

Salman also addressed the age gap between himself and his Sikandar co-star, Rashmika Mandanna, who is 31 years younger than him.

He remarked, “They say that there is an age difference of 31 years between the heroine and me. If the heroine has no problem or the heroine's father has no problem then what problem do you have? And when she (Rashmika) gets married and has a daughter and then she becomes a big star then also we will work together. We will get mummy's permission.”

The actor also expressed his disappointment over the lack of multi-star cast films in recent times, explaining, “I had once suggested a filmmaker make something with an ensemble cast, but all the actors of the current generation refused to work with each other.”

Comparing this to the past, he stated, “Actors have become very insecure. We were comfortable doing multicast films because, for us, it was about bringing all our fans together to make the film a hit. We spent 100-200 days working together and eventually became friends.”

This Eid, Salman Khan is set to return to the big screen in Sikandar, joined by the talented Rashmika Mandanna. Directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film is expected to be a major blockbuster.
