Veteran actress Rekha is all set to mesmerize audiences at the 2024 International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards with a grand 22-minute dance performance. The iconic Umrao Jaan star will take the stage alongside 150 dancers, wearing a specially designed outfit by renowned fashion designer Manish Malhotra.

Sharing her excitement for being a part of this year’s IIFA celebration, Rekha expressed her deep connection to the event. “IIFA holds a special place in my heart, representing not just a celebration of Indian cinema but a vibrant fusion of art, culture, and love on a global stage. It feels like home – a beautiful showcase where the magic of Indian cinema truly comes alive, and I’ve had the privilege of experiencing that magic first-hand over the years," she said.

Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, will be the stunning backdrop for Rekha’s much-anticipated performance at this year’s IIFA Festival, where audiences can expect a showcase of grace, beauty, and energy. The 24th edition of IIFA promises to be a visual treat, with Rekha’s powerhouse performance taking center stage.

The IIFA Festival 2024 will take place from September 27th to 29th at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. The festivities will kick off on Friday, September 27, with IIFA Utsavam, celebrating the vibrant South Indian film industry. This will be followed by the highly anticipated IIFA Awards on Saturday, September 28, and will conclude with IIFA Rocks, a spectacular musical extravaganza, on Sunday, September 29.

Earlier, Rekha touched down in Abu Dhabi, gearing up for her much-awaited IIFA performance. The legendary actress made a stylish entrance, turning heads with a distinctive and chic hairdo as part of her airport look.
