Alia Bhatt can't stop laughing as Diljit Dosanjh hilariously dubs her lines in BTS vlog of Jigra’s Chal Kudiye song

Diljit shared a behind-the-scenes (BTS) vlog

Alia Bhatt, last seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023), is preparing for a thrilling lineup of films, including Jigra, Alpha, Love and War, and an untitled love story.

Among these, Jigra is set to release next month, and excitement is building following the release of the song Chal Kudiye, where Alia collaborates with Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh. Adding to the fun, Diljit recently posted a humorous Instagram vlog in which he playfully dubs over Alia's lines, leaving the actress in fits of laughter.

On September 25, Diljit shared a behind-the-scenes (BTS) vlog on Instagram, featuring moments from the sets of Chal Kudiye. The video captures Diljit and Alia chatting while filming for the song. In the clip, Alia, dressed in a black tee and cargo pants, energetically interacts with Diljit, who sports an all-white outfit.

Diljit, known for his humor, dubbed Alia's dialogue with a funny voiceover: "Hoon hoon Diljit ji kaha the aap. Arrey cameraman jaldi focus karo. Diljit ji, aap Bombay mein concert kyun nahi kar rahe hain? Filmein bhi aap bahut kam karte hain, bas gaane karte hain. Aap na shuffle karte raha karein filmein, gaane, and all." (Diljit ji, where were you? Cameraman, focus! Why aren’t you performing concerts in Bombay? You do so few films, mostly just songs. You should shuffle between films, songs, and everything.)

The hilarity continued when Diljit added more voiceover to scenes from the song, joking about Alia’s perfectionist tendencies: "Alia ji, biche reel da shoot chal pya. Do samayla Alia ji ne sitiyaan te do sitiyaan yaad rakhiyan. Jeb mein haath pak hai to lo ji reel gayi. Ban te Alia ji kehni main personal reel check karungi, very perfectionist ji. Jigra dekh ho baar baar." (Alia ji’s reel shoot is in progress. Two smiles and two whistles. Hands in pockets and boom—the reel’s ready. Then Alia ji says, ‘I’ll check the reel personally. She’s very much a perfectionist. Keep watching Jigra again and again.)

As Jigra gears up for its release on October 11, Diljit captioned the post, “JIGRA releasing on 11th October.” Fans flooded the comments with excitement, including Dharma Productions, who playfully wrote, "Nothing, just two Jigras catching up."

Alia herself couldn’t resist commenting with “hahahahaha” and fire emojis, clearly entertained by Diljit’s antics.

Chal Kudiye, sung by both Diljit Dosanjh and Alia Bhatt, was released on September 17, 2024. To mark the occasion, producer Karan Johar shared a heartfelt note: "It’s the coming together of two absolute forces of nature...the best of the best! Special shoutout to Diljit for having the biggest Jigra and being our Jigra too by giving us this gem."

The song marks their second collaboration since the Udta Punjab (2016) track Ik Kudi.

Jigra stars Alia Bhatt as Satya, a fierce young woman, with Vedang Raina playing her brother. The film is co-produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Alia Bhatt’s Eternal Sunshine Productions, alongside Apoorva Mehta, Shaheen Bhatt, and Soumen Mishra.
