Director: Nanda Kishore
Cast: Mohanlal, Samarjit Lankesh, Nayan Sarika, Ragini Dwivedi, Ajay, Neha Saxena, Vinay Varma
Rating: 2/5
Plot:
Nanda Kishore was in charge of Vrusshabha, which was shot in both Malayalam and Telugu at the same time. The story takes place in two different times and has sections that are fantasy, action, and emotion. This pan-Indian epic about fate, sacrifice, and family offers a huge role for Mohanlal. The plot goes back and forth between the past and the present, striving to give both the sights and the sentiments more depth.
Analysis and performances:
Mohanlal does a great job, as you would expect from an experienced actor. He is in command of the screen and maintains the big parts of the movie real. Some people truly enjoyed how he acted, but most people weren't sure what they thought. Some people even wanted to know why the famous person took this position.
There are a lot of supporting performers in the ensemble, but not many of the roles stand out since the script doesn't give them enough depth. There are some good parts of the story, but they don't make it better overall.
You can tell immediately away that the movie contains large ideas and fantasy aspects, yet the plot doesn't always work. Vrusshabha uses too many known genre beats, which makes huge plot surprises less interesting and more predictable. Even though they are meant to provide complexity to the plot, the emotional arcs don't really reach home.
This difference is also obvious on social media. Some people love Mohanlal's acting and the beautiful set pieces, while others think the tale and special effects don't live up to the hype and the way the movie is made doesn't have the magic that makes an epic spectacular.
Technicalities:
Vrusshabha looks terrific, and the high production qualities help sell the fantasy realm. Even if the story doesn't always match the visual ambition, the design and cinematography make a lot of situations feel like they're in a movie.
But early box office data show that the movie might not do well in theaters at first because only a few people have bought tickets so far. This highlights how hard it will be to get a lot of people to see the movie, especially if it comes out around the holidays.

Verdict:
Vrusshabha is a fantasy epic that tries to do a lot, and Mohanlal's big presence and beautiful visuals assist it along. But it doesn't become the great hit it wants to be because the tale is too predictable, the pacing is incorrect, and it doesn't make you feel enough. People who like the genre and Mohanlal may still find something they like, but the overall thing isn't that excellent.
