Prabhas’ latest release, The Raja Saab, has officially wrapped up its first week in theatres, delivering a cumulative India net box office collection of approximately Rs 130.4 crore since its release on January 9, 2026. The Maruthi-directed horror-comedy opened with solid numbers, including a big first day driven by early paid previews and fan anticipation, but has seen a gradual decline over the course of its opening week.
According to box office trackers, The Raja Saab earned an estimated Rs 53.75 crore on opening day, boosted by strong turnout for the Telugu version and contributions from dubbed releases, including Hindi. After the initial weekend, daily collections saw noticeable dips, with midweek figures dipping into single digits before a modest uptick toward the latter part of the week. On Day 7, the film reportedly earned around Rs 5.65 crore in India net, helping it reach the week’s total.
The film’s steady pace suggests a sustained theatrical presence even as it rounds out its first week, though it has yet to experience a significant surge during the Sankranti holiday period.
The Raja Saab stars Prabhas alongside an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, and Riddhi Kumar, blending elements of fantasy, horror, action, and comedy. While the film’s genre and tonal mix garnered mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike, it has maintained respectable performance figures in its key markets.
Despite its respectable first-week total, analysts note that The Raja Saab still has ground to cover to match the performances of some of Prabhas’ previous pan-India blockbusters. The film’s ongoing performance in week two will be closely watched to see if it can build momentum beyond its opening seven days.
