Television and film actress Sanjeeda Sheikh is set to make a special appearance in the highly anticipated gangster drama Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups, headlined by pan-India star Yash.

The news comes as excitement builds around the film’s release, scheduled for March 19, 2026, in multiple Indian languages, including Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. (Toxic is being marketed as a period-gangster saga set against the backdrop of a sprawling underworld narrative.)

According to a report in Variety India, Sanjeeda’s role in Toxic will be a brief but pivotal cameo, adding to the film’s ensemble lineup. While specific character details are yet to be disclosed by the makers, her presence in the film has already piqued the curiosity of fans who know her from popular TV shows and notable roles in screen projects like Fighter and Heeramandi: The Rebirth of Pari.

Toxic stars Yash in a commanding lead role as Raya – a brooding gangster at the heart of the narrative – and also features an impressive roster of leading actresses, including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth in key roles, making it one of the most talked-about releases of the year.

The film’s unique concept and stylish promotions, including its recently released teaser and posters, have amplified fan anticipation. The teaser has generated significant online buzz due to its gritty portrayal of Yash’s intense character and high-octane visuals, hinting at the film’s dramatic arc and period setting.

Supported by acclaimed cinematography and action direction, Toxic promises to deliver a layered gangster experience, blending period aesthetics with modern cinematic action. Sanjeeda’s cameo, while short, is expected to leave a mark within the narrative and add further star value to an already electrifying ensemble.

Fans have taken to social media to express excitement over the entire cast and to speculate about the characters’ roles, with industry watchers pointing to Toxic as one of the major releases on the cinematic calendar this year.
