The release of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, starring Yash, has reportedly been postponed due to technical issues related to the film’s visual effects and sound quality. While earlier reports suggested that the delay was linked to tensions in the Middle East, new reports claim the real reason may be concerns over the film’s overall technical output.

According to reports, the makers had conducted an internal quality screening of the film on March 4. The screening was attended by Yash, director Geetu Mohandas, and key members of the production team. During the screening, Yash was reportedly dissatisfied with the visual effects and audio quality in several crucial scenes of the movie.

A source, close to Monster Mind Creation, told Always Bollywood that Yash was unhappy with the VFX work and poor audio quality in several crucial scenes. "An internal quality screening was held on March 4, attended by Yash, director Geetu Mohandas and key crew members. During the screening, Yash was reportedly shocked by the poor VFX work and weak audio quality in several crucial scenes. Interestingly, the first song Tabaahi was initially planned to release with a video, but due to unsatisfactory editing, the team decided to release only the audio version," a source told the portal.

One example cited in the report involved the film’s first track titled “Tabaahi.” The makers had initially planned to release the song along with its music video. However, due to unsatisfactory editing, they eventually decided to release only the audio version instead.

Earlier, the makers had officially stated that the postponement was due to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, as the film is aimed at a global audience and enjoys strong fan support in Gulf countries. Releasing the film during a sensitive period in that region could have affected its international box office performance.

The film, which also features Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, and Akshay Oberoi, is among the most anticipated Indian films of 2026. The gangster action drama is expected to release worldwide on June 4, 2026, after undergoing technical improvements.

With a massive budget and global buzz surrounding it, the makers appear keen to ensure the film meets the high expectations of audiences before its theatrical debut.
