Manya Anand makes shocking revelations

Tamil television actor Manya Anand has joined the list of celebrities who have recently come forward to share their casting couch experience, slamming the directors or managers.

Manya has accused Dhanush's manager, Sreyas, of trying to take advantage of her on the casting couch. Manya claims that Sreyas made an inappropriate suggestion when he contacted her with information about a new movie.

During a recent interview with Cineulugam, Manya recalled what the manager told her at the time.”
Crossing the professional boundary, Manya revealed that Sreyas had asked, “There is commitment (adjustment).”

She firmly refused to comply with any such unethical requirement and reportedly asked, “What commitment? Why should I give commitment?”

The actor further alleged that after her refusal, Sreyas reacted by saying, “You will not comply even if it’s Dhanush sir?”

She asserted that Sreyas kept contacting her repeatedly in spite of her obvious rejection. According to reports, he even forwarded her a project script and the location information for Dhanush's production company, Wunderbar Films.

However, Manya acknowledged that she had no intention of working on the movie and that she had not read the script.

She further noted, “I am not doing the film. We’re artists. We are doing some other work. You take work from us but don’t expect anything else in return. If we comply with your demands, then we’d be named something else. I think it’d be better if people recognised this pattern and sorted it out.”

However, Manya disclosed that another manager had approached her with an identically inappropriate request for the same project, indicating a concerning trend in the industry, further escalating the seriousness of the situation.

She drew attention to this persistent problem in Tamil cinema, stressing that actors shouldn't be forced or coerced into risky situations in the name of career advancement.

On the work front, Manya is known for her role in the TV serial Vanathai Pola and the movie Raja Rani Roarer Rocket.
