Rishab Shetty's highly anticipated Jai Hanuman, the sequel to the 2024 hit HanuMan, is finally getting ready to start filming a year after it was first announced.

Fans, who have been eagerly waiting for news, can now be happy because the movie is about to start shooting. Jai Hanuman, directed by Prasanth Varma, is set to go on the floors from January and is expected to be wrapped by June 2026.

HanuMan, which came out during Sankranthi 2024, was a huge hit, making almost Rs 300 crore around the world and becoming one of the biggest surprise blockbusters of the year. Of course, Jai Hanuman, the sequel, was supposed to do well right away. But a lot of delays put the project on hold.

Production is back on track now:

After months of not knowing what would happen, it seems that all the problems have been solved. It is said that Rishab Shetty has set dates for the sequel Jai Hanuman, which is a big step forward. Prasanth Varma has finished the whole script and most of the pre-production work, so the project can start up quickly.

Everything is finally in place, so Jai Hanuman is expected to start filming very soon. Mythri Movie Makers, one of the biggest production companies in the Telugu film industry, will pay for the movie.

Fans are excited to see how Prasanth Varma expands the universe he started with HanuMan and whether Jai Hanuman can recreate—and maybe even surpass—the magic of the original.

Why the Delay Happened

The movie was first announced with Rishabh Shetty, who is known for his role in Kantara, as the main character. But Shetty was very busy with Kantara 2, so his dates weren't available for a long time. In the meantime, director Prasanth Varma started working on a movie with Ranveer Singh, but it was never made. Another planned project, Mokshagna first, was also canceled for reasons that are still not clear.

Varma didn't direct any movies after HanuMan because of these problems, which made fans worried about what would happen to Jai Hanuman.
